Our Processes
Leadership Coaching
At Churchill Associates, we also offer coaching to individuals within client organizations or on an individually solicited basis.
Coaching is a one-on-one relationship between an individual and a qualified Coach. A Coach helps people focus on what they want to achieve in various areas of life and helps them develop action plans to achieve their full potential. Coaching often begins with a focus on business or career achievements and overlaps into other areas of life such as career aspirations, financial, personal life, and health issues for instance.
The Process:
Our Coaching is generally done via in-person meetings or via telephone calls and discussion. Both approaches work very effectively. How we conduct Coaching is often dependent on physical proximity to your Coach and personal preference. Meetings and telephone calls are scheduled in advance on a regular basis at whatever intervals that the Coach and client determine best.

Unlike reading books and attending seminars, Coaching is an ongoing process, and it’s very interactive. At Churchill, Coaching essentially becomes a relationship: a supportive, mentoring relationship to help you achieve your potential. We will tell you how to do something, show you how to do something (if necessary), and then cheer you on while you do it! A Coach will be a safe sounding board and a confidential advisor. We will be your number one fan, but also your biggest challenger, stretching you to achieve more than you could have achieved on your own.
But remember what a Coach is not.
What a Coach is Not
At Churchill Associates, a Coach will brainstorm with you, let you sound off when necessary, and maintain your confidentiality. We will guide, support, and mentor you to develop the skills, attitudes, and motivations needed to realize your goals and live a productive life. A coach is and does many things but there are also many things a Churchill Coach is not.
A Coach is not:
Your Best Friend
Friends are great but, friends often have two different agendas. A professional Coach will always keep your agenda in mind. A Coach may tell you things a friend would never say, things that are often difficult to hear from friends, but things that are critical to one’s continued development.
Your Therapist
Occasionally, a client will share information with their Coach about the things going on in their lives. But, a Coach is not trained nor equipped to deal with relationship issues, analyze your past, or deal with issues like depression. A Coach is not a therapist or psychologist.
A Crutch
A Coach will support and encourage but will not allow a client to become dependent on the Coach. A Coach is there to help you but not there to do it for you.
